“While at the Conference I became certified as an Advisor for the Distinguished Conservation Service Award in order to help Scouts and Scouters here in GNYC to work on this award. I also presented a class on “Cub Scouts & Outdoor Ethics” and Co- presented a class on Camp Conservation Plans.

During the Conference, I was recognized with  the “Outdoor Ethics Distinguished Service Award“.   (Presented by Past Chair of the Nat. Comm David Oleary) “

“It was great to be back together with fellow Scouters from across the Country;  some of the best of Scoutings people on Conservation and Outdoor Ethics;  to Network and hear the successes of folks from other Councils and share our successes.  There wa a presentation from the “Green Crew” (A venturing Crew from Minnesota that specializes in Conservation and Outdoor Ethics in ALL tha they do.  We even had a vist from “Bigfoot” –  He always tries to make the Conference “.

Coming Soon – the Outdoor Ethics & Conservation Conf. will be returning to the Northeast(either 2024 or 2026) and Alpine Scout Reservation is high on the list of possible locations for the event.
