Veterans Day Parade

Dear New York City Scouters,

This year, for the first time in a long while, the Greater New York Councils will be marching as a single contingent in the New York City Veterans Day Parade!

The NYC Veterans Day Parade is a key New York tradition, with over 300 marching groups and 25,000 marchers.  We want all of our packs, troops, ships, and crews to come together in this major event to honor our veterans, while reminding the world that Scouting is alive and well in New York City!

We will march up Fifth Avenue from 26th Street to 50th Street.  The parade itself will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  (https://parade.uwvc.org/map)

Assembly for the parade may begin earlier … we will have more information on precise assembly times and locations as the date gets closer.

The parade will be carried live on WABC-TV (Channel 7) in the Greater New York area.

Please plan to join us with as many Scouts as are able.  You can register below- We only need an approximate number of Scouts and Scouters at this time, but registering early will ensure that you receive the most current information as to assembly location and time.

Please contact John Paterakis, Big Apple District Chairman, at pateraki@pipeline.com, with any questions.

See you on the 11th!

The event is finished.
