Where: Alpine Scout Camp, 441 Rte 9W, Alpine, NJ 07620
What: This event is an opportunity for scouts to learn and practice cooking skills in camp.
Some things to note:
– Each troop that wants to participate in our Banquet will be required to bring a full sterno rack pan of a dish, prepared by your troop. (Some troops prepare it in camp, others just bring it already prepared)
– We do ask for volunteers to run stations. This is an opportunity for either an adult or a scout to showcase a dish, as skill, a sauce, dessert, or something cooking related. Stations run from 9-12 at about half hour classes. You can email me individually to discuss these possibilities.
– You will need to book a reservation at the camp for a site. There are plenty of cabins (14) tent and leanto sites. All morning activities take place in the activity center in camp. (https://alpinescoutcamp.org/map/) The afternoon activities take place in cub world, near the dining hall. So you’ll want to get a site close to these areas.
Registration Opens 1/1/2023

We are delighted to offer cooking classes that challenge Scouts to try new things and work on cooking skills. Scouts and Scoutmasters should prepare to rise to the challenge of our afternoon cooking competitions. Be prepared to show off your Troops’ best dish at our banquet.
