Summer 2026 Campership Applications
The Greater New York Councils offers camperships to registered youth from New York City to assist with camp fees. Campership amounts are based on the amount requested and family need. In some cases, depending on specific circumstances, no campership may be awarded. Please read the instructions as the timeline and requirements have been updated this year.
All camperships will be handled through the Parent Portal in Black Pug, the camp reservation system. To apply for a campership, a Scout must be registered for camp and have paid the $70 deposit. A valid registration number is required to complete the campership application. Your unit leader must turn on the parent portal to provide access.
Camperships will be considered in waves with the submission deadlines below. After wave 2 applications will be considered on a rolling basis depending on the availability of funds. Scouts wishing to sign up for Merit Badges are encouraged to submit applications in Wave 1 or 2 to ensure notification prior to Merit Badge registration on March 1, 2026.

- Deadline to submit: Between January 26 to February 16, 2026

- Submitted on or after February 17, 2026

Queens Scouts are eligible for additional campership assistance from the Suanhacky Campership Association. By completing the Greater New York Councils Campership Application, information submitted by families from Queens will be shared with the Suanhacky Campership Association for additional funding consideration.
