Donate: Philmont High Adventure Fund
In June 2018, Eagle Scout Doug Jamieson will climb Mt. Denali in Alaska with the goal of raising $5,000 to support Scouts in financial need from New York City attending a high adventure trip to Philmont Scout Ranch. At 20,310 feet elevation, Mt. Denali (formerly known as Mt. McKinley) is the tallest mountain in North America and one of the “Seven Summits”. The expedition will last 3-4 weeks in some of the harshest weather conditions on the planet.
What is Philmont?
Philmont Scout Ranch, the Boy Scouts of America’s premier High Adventure base, challenges Scouts and Venturers with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs offer young people many ways to experience this legendary country.
