Jamil Ahmed Cooking Center Dedication
Please join us to celebrate Jamil Ahmed and to dedicate this new facility at Alpine Scout Camp.
This event will take place during the GNYC Program Launch on September 10th at Alpine Scout Camp.
We’ll be using the Outdoor Cooking Center as a gathering point for coffee and refreshments in the morning.
A formal ceremony and ribbon-cutting will be held at 11:15 AM
All attendees of the Steak-Out Program Launch event are invited to attend, those who are not attending Steak-Out are asked to RSVP using the form below.
The purpose of this area is to prepare young people to make food choices that promote healthy eating, cultural diversity and sustainability; To create a world in which every young person prioritizes food choices that lead towards a healthy lifestyle in their community and a sustainable planet. We are looking to fund and create a Scout friendly outdoor cooking area for instruction, education and lifelong learning. This outdoor cooking area will be part of the Reeves Training Center at Alpine Scout Camp.
