Drive-In Movies to Return to Camp Pouch

The Summer of 2020 saw the debut of the Camp Pouch Drive-in Movie Series. The remarkable success of the program is a testament to hard work and dedication of the volunteers involved. Families were able to gather at camp for a fun and safe activity, many from the community were introduced to the camp for the for first time.

Last year’s Drive-in movie series at William H. Pouch Scout Camp utilized our incredible and unique space to provide families a fun, safe, socially distanced activity. Did you miss out? You’re in luck- the Drive-in is returning- bigger and better for 2021.

Thanks to the leadership of camp chairman Matt Gaor and the dedication of dozens of volunteers the drive-in raised funds that have now gone directly back into improving the camp for future use by Scouts and families of Staten Island.

This year films will be shown on Fridays and Saturdays from mid-June to the end of August. Movies will included big screen drive-in must sees – and timeless classics celebrating notable anniversaries.

Films will include; Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Arc, Jurassic Park, The Goonies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Back to the Future, Mary Poppins and many more!

This years showings will include additional field seating, food trucks, and expanded Saturday program activities around the camp.
