What is being a Scout in NYC all about?

Scouting values emphasize; a lifelong appreciation of personal fitness, including the prevention of bullying, environmental stewardship & sustainability, leadership development and STEM Education. Scouting is both fun and empowering; introducing young people to careers and preparing them to be active citizens. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
